Digital Literacy
Digital Literacy is an essential skill in today’s technological society. This course utilizes online modules to cover topics such as: basic computer skills, using the internet safely & efficiently, Windows, and email. Keyboarding is also included, if needed.
Microsoft Excel: Comprehensive
Introduces the fundamentals of Excel, such as entering data into a worksheet and using functions to perform calculations. It continues with broader practical skills of creating a spreadsheet. You’ll learn to apply themes and cell styles to your spreadsheet, as well as create conditional formatting rules. Students will progress through fundamentals such as Ribbon interface, creating formulas and functions, charts and graphs, and many more essentials Excel skills.
Introduction to Accounting
This course will introduce some of the basic accounting principles, the accounting equation, accounting concepts, and accounting terminology. Introduction to Accounting will cover such topics as: essential accounting functions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Students will progress through the operations and functions of financial statements, ledgers, journals, internal controls, and fraud prevention.
QuickBooks Online
Approved by Intuit, QuickBooks Online: Comprehensive meets all the objectives of the QuickBooks Certified User exam. It provides essential coverage of the app for employees, company owners, accountants, and others who wish to effectively use the software for their small-business accounting needs. In Chapters 1–6 (Basics), students are introduced to QuickBooks Online and the basic file-management tasks necessary for mastering the essentials. Among others, introductory topics covered include deciding which QuickBooks Online level is best for your business, customizing the company settings, setting up customers and sub-customers, recording bank deposits, setting up bank feeds, and reconciling bank and credit card accounts. Chapters 7–13 cover more advanced topics, such as creating purchase orders, setting up sales tax, preparing journal entries, transferring funds between accounts, setting up user permissions, creating reports using class and location tracking, and adjusting inventory quantities.
