EMT Certificate
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) provide emergency care to the critically ill and injured at an emergency scene. The modern Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system has been developed to provide what is known as pre-hospital or out-of-hospital care. There are four levels in this career path: First Responder; Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT); Paramedic (P). Our EMT program is certified and regulated by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control. You learn skills, rules, and guidelines for providing emergency care. Successful completion qualifies you to take the National Registry certification examination and become certified in South Carolina. This program meets the new National Registry and SC DHEC/EMS standards.
