Program Description Designed to help you prepare for
employment in today's computerized offices. Administrative professionals are the
largest segment of the office workforce! They must know how use Microsoft Office
suite of programs (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and QuickBooks, and have
customer service skills. The administrative professional plays a skilled role in
today's (and tomorrow's) office. Today's skills require excellent customer
service skills and use of technology to be able to use integrated computer
software applications for organization and scheduling, document preparation,
storage, and retrieval, with emphasis on electronic record-keeping.

Entry Requirements/What to
Depending on the skill level of the student - Working knowledge of computers,
Keyboarding (Beginning and Intermediate), and Windows (Beginning and
Classes are offered in our Office Skills Center. The Office Skills Center,
located at the Anderson Campus is a unique learning experience. Instead of
taking your classes in a traditional classroom setting with one instructor
teaching one course at a time, you will take your classes in a lab setting where
you will work on one class at a time independently of other students. You will
schedule up to 25 hours of lab work to complete your course. An instructor is
assigned to each lab and is available to assist you, as needed. Each class is
$185 plus book, if applicable.
