Participants in the Power Transmission course will learn, build, and maintain mechanical drives for use in the manufacturing setting.
Topics covered include:
*Torque
*Precision measurement tools
*Bearing types, applications, and installation
*Mechanical transmission ratios and calculations
*Belt drive installation and sizing
*Chain drive preventive maintenance
*Simple and complex gear drive systems
*Shaft alignment
This course is part of the Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician program, and may be taken individually or combined with other courses to receive MRT Certification.
