South Carolina is a state that is committed to industry and manufacturing, realizing that manufacturing jobs are the heart of our country's economy. MSSC (Manufacturing Skill Standards Council) offers complete training to enable workers to build the core knowledge and skills needed in modern manufacturing. Successfully passing the four modular assessments (listed below) will assist individuals in finding higher-wage jobs while helping employers ensure that their workforce increases the company's productivity and competitiveness. Candidates must earn the four certificates to receive Certified Production Technician certification. Participants in the MSSC course will have the opportunity to obtain certifications from MSSC in:
Safety
Quality Assurance
Production and Processes
Maintenance Awareness
During the third week, local manufacturers are invited to campus to interview the MSSC students for immediate employment opportunities in their facilities. This class has a 95% placement rate.
